Magic Kaito (まじっく快斗 Majikku Kaito^?) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, that began in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1987. The story tells of a thief named Kaito Kid (怪盗キッド Kaitō Kiddo^?). Aoyama stopped work on the manga after the thirdtankōbon volume was published because he started Detective Conan, which was an instant hit. A version of the Kaito Kid and some related characters make occasional appearances in Conan.
